Easy nature observation during the drive in Zao Echo Line
Komakusa Daira has a great panorama view. To the west, there are Kaerazuno Falls and Furiko Falls where the water springing out from the Zao Mountain Range. To the east, you can overlook the Pacific Ocean over the Ou Mountain Range. You can find the alpine plant, Dicentra peregrinas (Komakusa), which blooms in mid June to July.
In the past, pretty pink alpine plant, Dicentra peregrinas (Komakusa) were seen in this area from mid June to July. But recently the number of komakusa has declined we are working on rehabilitation. It is popular as a prospect spot for the cliffs. Since there is a safe walking path developed for viewing the area. From the lookout, named as "Komakusa Daira Observatory", you can also see the "Kaerazuno Falls".
