"Miyagi Zao Kokeshi Museum" is located 10 min. from Togatta Onsen Yu-no-machi bus stop (Miyagikotsu Bus). This place collects over 5,500 Kokeshis, which is largest amount in Japan, from all around Tohoku area. You can also enjoy their exhibitions of traditional Kokeshis, see the process of making the dolls, and even try painting on them! The designs of the faces differs according to the prefecture created in or the person who made it. Visit this place to see Japanese traditional art either alone or with your friends and families!
