By the legendery story that traces back 1000 years from now…
…Minamotono Hachimantaro Yoshiie shot an arrow from the Kiyomizu pass in Obara. The arrow flew away through the sky and stabbed on a small hill far away. It surprised people, and "Hokozuki Shrine" was enshrined on that hill.
When Hachimantaro Yoshiie was to hunt down and kill Abeno Sadatou, the arrow shot from Kiyomizu Pass in Obara village stabbed here. So it is said that this area worships Yoshiie,and the village was named as Yazuki.
