In Zao, "Nihon-no-Zao Hill Climb Eco" is held every year on the 3rd Sunday of May. More than 1000 cyclers with variety in age challenge to climb Mt. Zao with their bicycles. Apart from having a long distance of 18.7km and an altitude of 1,334 m with many obstacles along the course, you can also enjoy the spectacular scenery of nature. For example the fresh greens, snow, as well as Zao's symbol "Okama" and "Snow wall" can also be viewed along the way.
